Teachers continued to protest in several governorates for the second day in a row, demanding better salaries and working conditions.
The demonstrating teachers rejected the results of negotiations that took place between teacher representatives and an Education Ministry advisor on Sunday, saying that the representatives did not represent all teachers.
They also called for a general strike to begin next week and continue until they can meet with the ruling military council to present their demands.
Temporary teachers also staged protests on Sunday, demanding permanent contracts and better salaries.
