Egypt's Tamarrod movement has condemned a militant attack that killed 25 soldiers in Rafah, in a statement Monday.
“Terrorism, violence and extremism have become the religion and daily behavior of these Islamist groups,” the statement claimed. “Day and night they forment and practice violence across Egypt, in defense of a power that the great Egyptian people have toppled.”
The movement also called for an independent judicial commission to investigate the death of 37 supporters of the deposed president near the Abu Zaabal prison.
Tamarrod held the Brotherhood and its supporters responsible for bloodshed in Egypt, calling on the Islamist group to end violence and succumb to the will of the Egyptian people.
