Hundreds of Egyptian and Arab activists staged a protest Friday in Tahrir Square to support the revolutions of Libya, Syria and Yemen against the violent repression of peaceful protesters. They denounced the passive stance of the Arab League.
Protesters raised Syrian flags and Libyan opposition flags and chanted "Where are the Arab armies?" and "Unity, unity against all thieves".
The demonstrators spoke of Tahrir Square as an icon of Egypt's path toward democracy, saying they believe it is inspiring to Arab uprisings.
