A Syrian parliamentary delegation arrived in Cairo on Saturday to take part in the second session of the Arab Parliament, which begins on Sunday. The delegation is led by Syrian MP Marwan Mohamed Kamel al-Benni.
The session will discuss the situation in several Arab countries, with particular focus on the developments in Syria.
The speaker of the Arab Parliament, Salem al-Diqbassi, previously leveled severe criticism at the Syrian regime and called for freezing the Arab League membership of Syria and Yemen, as was decided with Libya during the Qadhafi regime crackdown.
