Suspected swine flu case in Red Sea false alarm: medical source

 
 
 
A source from a therapeutic medicine department in the Red Sea governorate said that a medical analysis on samples from a woman suspected to have died from swine flu came back negative and confirmed that she had not died from the virus. 
 
The source added that the Red Sea governorate was clear of the swine flu virus, H1N1.
 
The news reported the woman's death as she was the first suspected case of swine flu in the governorate. 
 
Before passing away, the woman, 50, had been transferred from her home in Ras Ghareb city to the Hurghada Public Hospital after reporting shortness of breath.
