Revenue from Egypt's Suez Canal rose 9 percent year-on-year to US$413.5 million in March and 6.4 percent from a month earlier, a state website showed on Monday.
Revenue in March 2010 was US$379.4 million. Revenue in February 2011 was US$388.7 million.
The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
