Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Chairman Mohab Mamish said the government will approve the law on investment in the Suez Canal developmental corridor on Wednesday to be referred later to the president for ratification. The law should be approved in time for the economic conference which begins on Friday.
In press remarks, Mamish said the authority coordinated with consultancy firm Dar Al-Handasah to prepare a plan for developmental projects in the corridor to be reviewed during the conference.
Mamish added that workshops have been organized to discuss the infrastructure, industrial zones, telecommunications and logistics included in the projects. All data and information are available to respond to the investors’ inquiries.
The chairman described the law on investment in the Suez Canal corridor as ‘flexible’, saying it maintains the rights of the government.
