Sudanese naval forces have seized three boats, carrying 106 Egyptian fishermen, according to Bakry Abul Hassan, head of the fisheries division.
“The sailors were fishing on regional waters, when the Sudanese navy opened fire at them. No injuries have been reported,” Abul Hassan told Al-Masry Al-Youm on Wednesday.
“The sailors have been detained at Port Sudan,” he added, calling on the authorities to intervene in order to facilitate their release.
