A Sudanese club will file a complaint to the National Football Association over Essam al-Hadary for wasting time during a Sudanese premiere soccer league match on Tuesday.
Amir Kahirallah, chairman of Amal Atbara sports club, said he would file a complaint against Hadary, who plays for Marikh.
He said that though the game lasted for more than 100 minutes after several halts prompted by riots from Amal Atbara fans, Hadary and other teammates intentionally wasted time by falling down frequently, pretending injury and enabling their team to finish as winner, ahead with one goal to none.
Though noting that Hadary was injured with a stone hurled at him by rioting spectators, Khairallah said the game could have been proceeded normally, if it was not for Hadary's “badly staged charade.” He described him, in statements to Sudanese sports magazine Goon as “the worst foreign player who has played in Sudan in terms of conduct.”
