Elections for student unions throughout Egypt's public universities are beginning on November 16, with candidacy applications starting Monday and the whole process ending by December 3.
The elections will cover the posts of chairman and student union assistants at each college, as well as on the university level.
Student union polls have proven to be highly politicized for years now and have been long viewed as being marred by state interventions.
