Student injured in clashes with Brotherhood

Clashes erupted clashes in Ain Shams University in which both pro-Muslim Brotherhood and pro-army sides pelted each other with stones and empty bottles.

As the students drove their cars away from the scene, a student was hit by a car and sent to the hospital.

Hundreds of the “Students against the Coup” movement had staged demonstrations on campus to protest the guard assaulting female students with belts and sticks during a demonstration last week.

The demonstrators chanted slogans against the army and the Interior Ministry. They flashed the Rabaa sign and raised banners with the names of their colleagues who were arrested in previous events.

The demonstrations provoked other students who support the army and began to clash with the pro-Brotherhood students.

Campus security personnel were also injured in the clashes.
