The chairman of the Egyptian Metrological Authority (EMA), Ahmed Abd al-Aal, said on Thursday that calm weather will prevail across Egypt from Saturday to next Thursday, while heavy mist will cover the country’s northern areas and coasts.
The mist will turn to fog on some areas in Egypt, affecting visibility to less than 1,000 meters from midnight until the early morning over the same period, Abd al-Aal added.
Abd al-Aal requested the General Authority for Ambulance and the General Directorate of Traffic to take necessary measures to reduce the increasing number of accidents on highways caused by heavy mist in the early hours of the morning.
