The Strong Egypt Party (Misr al-Qawia) has decided to postpone an elections-related press conference until Wednesday, spokesperson Ahmed Imam said today. Party Chief Abdel Moneim Abouel Fotouh will attend.
The party will announce on Wednesday whether or not it will run in the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for March, Imam told Al-Masry Al-Youm. It will also take its stance on the current political situation.
The conference, according to Imam, was called off on Monday and postponed until tomorrow as a sign of respect in light of the recent death of soldiers in Sinai.
The party’s leaders discussed the recent political developments, as well as its stance on elections last Friday, he added.
