State Minister for Military Production Mohamed Salaheldin Moustafa inspected the M1A1 Tank Factory (Military Factory 200), accompanied by a number of officials of the Ministry of Military Production and the 1National Authority for Military Production.
This comes as part of a series of inspections to follow up the flow of productive operations in the affiliated bodies.
A meeting was held with the board chairman of the factory where they discussed the indexes of productivity and performance in the factory and the current situation of contracts implemented recently and the partnerships and agreements reached with the different state bodies.
Moustafa asserted the pioneering role of the factory in the field of heavy industries whether civil or militarily.
During his inspection tour, the minister was apprised of the implementation of transforming 2,262 buses to work with natural gas in Cairo and Alexandria in cooperation with the ministries of petroleum and local development.
This cooperation contributes to protecting the environment from pollution, decreasing the importing bill and providing foreign currency to improve the national economy, he said.
