Fresh details have emerged on the stage-version of Harry Potter, including the name, venue and opening date.
In addition to the Harry Potter spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" due to hit theatres in 2016, J.K. Rowling has also been working on a stage adaptation of the series which now has an official name: "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," reports The Daily Mail.
The play will explore the lives of Potter's parents James and Lily before they were killed by Lord Voldemort, leaving an orphaned Harry to lead a miserable childhood with his aunt and uncle.
The play will debut at the Palace Theatre in the heart of London's theatre district, likely in the middle of 2016, according to the Mail.
Ticket information will be released at the end of July and the box office open in the fall.
John Tiffany who collaborated on the story with Rowling, will direct the play. While informal casting has begun, no information is yet available on the lead actors.
