Stable weather across Egypt until Thursday, later half of October sees higher chances of rainfall

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects that the weather in Egypt will witness stability from Saturday, until the end of the week, and the atmosphere tends to be hot during the daytime hours.

By nightfall the weather will be moderate over most of the country, tending to be cold on desert roads and exposed areas especially during the late night hours and early morning.

Weather maps monitored moderate winds blowing in areas of Greater Cairo, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.

Low and medium clouds are expected to appear in some areas north of the country, helping to moderate the weather during the day.

The EMA’s forecasts for the second half of October indicate rainfall on Sinai and areas of the Red Sea mountain ranges, and are expected to extend to areas of the Suez Canal cities, the Gulf of Suez, Cairo and Upper Egypt.

Saturday’s weather will be moderate at night and early morning, growing hot during the day in most parts.

Low and medium clouds will appear in the northern parts of the country, which will help to moderate the weather during the day.

Expected temperatures on Saturday:

  • Alexandria: 29C
  • Cairo: 30C
  • Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh: 34C
  • Luxor: 37C
