Ninety students suffered food poisoning in an al-Azhar school in the village of Aqqad in Beni Suef, after eating spoiled school meal.
The poisoned students were rushed to Beni Suef General Hospital when they suffered vomiting and diarrhea after eating the school meal during the break.
Dr. Samira Ibrahim, director of the Preventive Medicine said at the Health Department, said that samples were taken from students to determine the reason behind the poisoning. The initial samples showed that that the primary cause of poisoning was the cheese that accompanied the meal.
