South Korean Prime Minister Jung Hong-won is arriving in Egypt on Saturday as part of a visit to Egypt, Morocco and Azerbaijan to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation with these countries.
According to the South Korean Yonhap news agency, the prime minister’s total visit will take seven days.
Jung Hong-won’s office said that he is meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb to discuss the participation of South Korean companies in future nuclear projects in Egypt, then he will fly to Morocco on Monday to meet with Prime Minister Abdul Ilah Bin Kiran to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in construction, industrial installations and renewable energy.
Jung Hong-won is the highest South Korean political figure to visit Morocco since the start of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1962.
His last stop will be in Azerbaijan on Wednesday to meet with President Ilham Aliyev to discuss cooperation in infrastructure, petrochemicals and defense.
