Source: Mubarak’s health stable, sensitive to public pressure

Sharm el-Sheikh – An official source at the medical crew overseeing the health of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said his health has become stable.

Mubarak entered the Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital in early April when his health deteriorated during the first round of investigations over charges related to financial corruption and the killing of protesters. Since then, he has remained in detention at the hospital.

The source added that Mubarak has neither been put on respirators nor received glucose injections.

The former president undergoes medical analysis whenever public pressure for his prosecution intensifies, the source said. He said Mubarak currently receives pacemaking tablets.

Other medical sources said Mubarak’s psychological condition has improved since Monday, and he undergoes physiotherapy in his hospital room.
