Minya security services discovered on Sunday evening a sound bomb inside a black bag next to the old housing department on Adly Yakan street.
Major General Osama Metwally, Minya security chief, was notified that citizens found an unknown object inside a black bag. Emergency respondents and explosives experts found a sound bomb inside. A loud explosive sound had been set off, which intimidated people.
The bomb was found few hours before Minya Criminal Court issued verdicts in two trials on sentencing 528 Muslim Brotherhood members to death over killing a policeman and attacking police station. The other trials includes Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and other 683 members.
