Solidarity Ministry warns pilgrims against talking politics

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has distributed a handbook to all pilgrim associations that stated the procedures and instructions that must be followed during Hajj, said Ayman Abdel Mawgoud, director of the National Foundation to Facilitate Hajj and Umrah, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

"The instructions included avoiding talking about politics as the punishment would be evacuating the pilgrim who discusses politics from Saudi Arabia," Abdel Mawgoud added.

The administrative procedures for the deportation of pilgrims, numbering 10 thousand pilgrims from Egypt, have been concluded, said Abdel Mawgoud.

He said that at least 10 thousand Egyptian pilgrims, divided into 11 batches, will attend Hajj this year. The first batch will be from Kafr al-Sheikh, Suez, and Ismailia. They will head to Saudi Arabia on 15 September.

The Ministry of Endowments will hold a press conference on Hajj arrangements on Saturday which will be attended by a number of ministers.

The Ministry of Health will open five central clinics to inspect pilgrims' health. Each pilgrim will receive a handbook that includes emergency telephone numbers.
