Six security personnel killed in Giza explosion – state TV

Six security personnel were killed in an explosion on Friday morning in Haram district in Giza, reported state television.

A security source at the Ministry of Interior told Aswat Masriya that the deceased include two police officers, three conscripts and one low-ranking policeman. He added that three individuals were injured in the explosion. 
 
Citing a security source, state-run MENA news agency reported that the explosion targeted an area with high security presence. It took place in the vicinity of al-Salam mosque.
 
According to Reuters, a recently emerged militant group called the "Hasm Movement" has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack . The organization, which has claimed several attacks in Egypt in recent months, made the announcement in an Internet posting.
