Sisi, Tunisian president reaffirm need to achieve a fair settlement of the Palestinian problem

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a phone call from his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied to discuss means to boost bilateral relations and serve the interests of their countries.

Both leaders on Tuesday28/11/2023 asserted the need to work on having a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, delivering all forms of support and relief for Gazans urgently and seeking to achieve a fair and comprehensive settlement for the Palestinian problem.

They voiced their keenness to work jointly to strengthen bilateral ties, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.

Sisi sheds light on Egypt’s efforts to make use of the current Palestinian-Israeli truce to reach a permanent ceasefire and deliver more humanitarian aid to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.
