CAIRO, March 12 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Egypt is making strenuous efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which faces a deteriorating humanitarian situation.
President Sisi’s remarks came during a phone call that he made on Tuesday with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to extend greetings on the holy month of Ramadan.
During the phone conversation, President Sisi reiterated Egypt’s support for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights.
On his part, the Palestinian president expressed gratitude for Egypt’s earnest endeavors to help Palestinians get their rights. (MENA)
