President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Monday a phone call from President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, who greeted him on winning a third term in office in the 2024 presidential election.
During their phone conversation, Abbas extended his best wishes to President Sisi, commending Cairo’s unwavering support for the people of Palestine, according to presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
Sisi thanked Abbas and reaffirmed Egypt’s unshakeable stance in support of the Palestinian cause.
He also reiterated Egypt’s commitment to making all possible effort to protect the Palestinian people and reach a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian problem.
