Sisi ratifies some amendments of law governing Egypt’s Young Creators’ State Award

CAIRO, Dec 12 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi enacted law no 183 of 2023 on amending some provisions of law no 204 of 2020 on Egypt’s Young Creators’ State Award.

Under the amendments, candidates for the award should be of Egyptian nationality with good reputation and their age should not exceed 18 years as of the date of announcing the competition.

The Culture Ministry will form a higher committee for the award under the minister and with the membership of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, Supreme Council of Culture, Cairo Opera House and National Center for Child Culture alongside a counselor of the State Council.

Also, the committee will include three key figures in the child cultural domain.

The committee’s secretary general will be selected by the culture minister.

The law was published in the official gazette.
