
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ordered continuing efforts to support the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) with the aim of increasing the volume of its project in a way that meets the needs of young entrepreneurs in the private sector with a special focus on the industry and agriculture sectors to comply with the state’s comprehensive plan to localize industries and increase agricultural and industrial exports.
This came during Sisi’s meeting on Sunday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Head of MSEA Bassel Rahmy.
During the meeting, Sisi ordered sustaining ongoing work to modernize MSEA and support its digital transformation process, achieving financial inclusion and depending on green economy to come in line with the state’s efforts to modernize the economic activities and increase its competitiveness.
Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said the meeting covered the activities carried out by MSEA in the various development sectors especially the activation of operation policies and law, offering financial and non-financial services with the aim of maximizing the potentials of the projects funded by the authority and enhance business entrepreneurship.
The meeting also addressed MSEA’s participation in the national initiatives launched across the country such as “Decent Life” to upgrade Egypt’s countryside, the national program of converting vehicles to operate on natural gas, the initiative on support small industrial sectors which have high competitiveness along with the initiative of upgrade handicrafts and heritage industries.
