CAIRO, Oct 15 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Norway Prime Minister Jonas Jahr Storhe have discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
A phone call from the Norwegian side tackled the ongoing military escalation in the Gaza Strip, said presidential spokesman Ahmad Fahmy.
Sisi, during the conversation, referred to Egyptian contacts with various parties to contain the volatile situation and prevent further escalation, he added.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of working diligently to stop the escalation, protect civilians, prevent targeting them, and deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, according to the spokesman.
Efforts should be addressed to a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue in accordance with the approved references and resolutions of international legitimacy, the two sides concluded. (MENA)
