Sisi meets Saudi CP, hails Cairo-Riyadh historical ties

Egypt is proud of the historical ties binding the Egyptian state and people with Saudi Arabia, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Friday.

The two leaders met in Jeddah on the sidelines of the 32nd Arab Summit.

Egypt is confident in Saudi Arabia’s ability to promote joint Arab action during in the coming period, Sisi said.

Mohammed bin Salman expressed Saudi Arabia’s appreciation for Egypt’s leadership and people, praising the fraternal, history-honored Egyptian-Saudi relations.

He emphasized Riyadh’s desire to continue advancing the two countries’ distinguished bilateral relations in various fields.

The meeting covered ways to develop bilateral ties and ensure the durability of the two nations’ collaboration in ways that serve the two brotherly peoples’ common interests and mutual benefit, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said in statement.
