President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is heading to New York on Thursday, leading Egypt’s delegation in the inauguration of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly September 25-28.
Diplomatic sources said Sisi will deliver Egypt’s speech during both the opening session and the climate summit. He will also convene with a number of world leaders.
According to the sources, Sisi will put the Syria conflict on top of the agenda for his sideline talks, followed by the situation in Yemen and Libya.
