Sisi gives directives to provide care, hospitality to Sudanese brethren

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has given directives to all state bodies since the first day of the Sudanese crisis to provide care and hospitality to the Sudanese who fled the scourges of war.

This came on Tuesday during Shoukry’s reception of visiting Envoy of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council in Sudan Ambassador Dafallah Haj Ali.

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the Sudanese envoy delivered a message from Chairman of Sovereignty Council in Sudan Abdel Fattah al Burhan to President Sisi on the latest developments in Sudan in light of the current military operation in the country.

During the meeting, Shoukry reiterated Egypt’s firm stance that urges a ceasefire and the importance of being committed to the truce by all parties, Abu Zeid said.

Egypt is keen on dealing with the Sudanese crisis as an internal affair, Shoukry said, asserting the necessity that all international and regional parties respect the Sudanese sovereignty.

Shoukry expressed Egypt’s deep concern over the situation in Sudan and that it will save no effort to help the Sudanese brothers, the spokesman said.
