Sisi directs to develop investment activities in SCZone

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi directed to develop investment activities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

The president ordered the establishment of an active investment entity for the Zone to run projects it is carrying out.

The SCZone is providing very promising opportunities to become a global and regional hub for green fuel production projects and energy circulation and production regionally.

The instructions came during President Sisi’s meeting on Mondaywith Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir and Chairman of the General Authority For Suez Canal Economic Zone Walid Sami.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said the meeting followed up on the executive situation of investment and strategic projects in the SCZone.

The president was posted on recent updates of ongoing projects aimed at upgrading different harbors within the SCZone.

President Sisi was also briefed on the promotional plan for the area in cooperation with international institutions and investment banks with the objective of luring more investments.

Radi said the president directed to develop industrial areas within the SCZone to become integrated cities with various services as part of efforts to promote comprehensive development in the canal’s region.
