Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Friday congratulated Ahmed al-Sharaa on assuming the presidency of Syria during its transitional phase.
“I congratulate Mr. Ahmed al-Sharaa on assuming the position of President of the Syrian Arab Republic during the transitional phase, and I wish him success in achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people for more progress and prosperity,” Sisi wrote on his official Facebook page.
