Sisi assigns former ministers of interior, planning as presidential advisers

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi assigned, on Wednesday, former Interior Minister Ahmed Gamal Eddin, as a presidential adviser for security affairs and anti-terrorism,  former Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga as adviser for national security affairs and Ambassador Khalid Bakly, who served as Egypt's ambassador to India, as security general of the National Security Council.

Sisi asked the Specialized Council for the Development of Society, affiliated with the presidency, to prepare a comprehensive study of mechanisms of establishing a "new Rafah" to achieve sustainable development for the people of the city.

The study should be submitted to Sisi in 15 days.

Ambassador Alaa Youssef, spokesman of the presidency, said Sisi received a detailed report from the Specialized Council for the Development of Society on his meeting with Rafah tribal chiefs, which was held at the presidential headquarters, last Monday.

"The next stage requires concerted efforts by all ministries, institutions and the people to defeat terrorism," Gamal Eddin told Al-Masry Al-Youm, adding that there are unprecedented security plans that would be activated to face terrorists"Terrorism in Sinai will be ended by the brave men of the armed forces, the police and the sincere cooperation of honorable tribal chiefs of Sinai, who do not hesitate to provide all the needed support to protect their homeland from terrorism."

Gamal Eddin called on political forces  and revolutionary youth to unify their efforts against terrorism.
