Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said, on Sunday 28/7/2024, that Singapore is Egypt’s fourth biggest investor and the country is hoping to lure more Singaporean companies to boost economic activities in Egypt.
During his meeting with Singapore’s Second of Minister of Finance Chee Hong Tat, Kouchouk said deepening cooperation between Egypt and Singapore will certainly enhance economic potentials of each country, adding that ports and renewable energy are promising spheres for economic cooperation.
He expressed hope of holding high-level dialogue between the two countries’ finance ministries in a way that would allow exchange expertise in human investment, capacity building and digital transformation domains.
He reiterated keenness on developing Egyptian business environment to become investment-magnet, saying the coming period will witness more cooperation with business community to provide more economic opportunities to the private sector.
