Sherine Abdel Wahab recovering, says doctor, ends legal battle with Hossam Habib

Sherine Abdel Wahab’s attending physician Nabil Abdelmaqsoud has confirmed that the star singer is recovering following her recent dispute with her ex-husband, singer Hossam Habib.

The doctor confirmed in statements to the ET bel Arabi program that Wahab’s health condition is greatly improving, stating: “Rest assured, Sherine’s psychological state is much better now and her health is generally good. She will return to her fans very soon, God willing.

The New Cairo Prosecution ordered the release of the couple from the prosecution building, after hearing their statements regarding the accusations Wahab filed against Habib over assaulting her and damaging her studio during an argument.

A source confirmed to Al-Masry Al-Youm that the two parties had waived the exchanged reports during their appearance before the prosecution, and investigations ended with the reconciliation of the two parties.

A violent dispute

A video that went viral earlier in July showed Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab destroying the studio that belongs to her and her ex-husband, Hossam Habib.

In the police report, Abdel-Wahab said that she went to the studio and asked to break up their partnership, only for him to brutally assault her and then throw her out without giving her belongings back.

She claimed that she had been detained, beaten, and tortured by her ex-husband, Habib, and that she had suffered a severe wound to her head.

Habib meanwhile asserted that he fought with Abdel-Wahab to prevent her from harming her daughter, as the main dispute was between them.

“I intervened as I was present at the scene to resolve the fight between them,” he claimed.
