Sharm el-Sheikh to host Africa 2016 business forum Saturday

Sharm el-Sheikh is preparing for the Africa 2016 business forum scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Conference Hall.

The forum will host over 1,500 people, including presidents of Sudan, Nigeria, Togo, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, as well as the prime minister of Ethiopia and a number of senior African officials of the trade and investment sectors.

Leaders and representatives of regional and international development organizations and representatives of the Egyptian business community and the sectors of energy, information technology, trade, agriculture, health and economy in African countries will attend the event.

The forum brings together a large number of politicians and businessmen in Africa and the world to discuss means of promoting international trade and investment in Africa and creating an investment climate that focuses on the private sector, the forum's official website quoted President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as saying.

The forum is an opportunity to discover new ways to take advantage of potential growth and to hold fruitful discussions on how to promote investment, create more job opportunities and support development, Sisi added.

"We will spare no effort to promote the integration of relations with African countries, in order to assist them in advancing economic and social development," he added, pointing out that the forum is held in the wake of what he described as the historic launch of the TFTA between the COMESA, EAC and SADC on June 10 in Sharm el-Sheikh.
