A beach in the city of Dahab in South Sinai was closed after a shark attacked an Egyptian swimmer on Wednesday, causing her a severe injury, Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad confirmed.
Fouad instructed the natural reserves of South Sinai to form an urgent committee to evaluate the situation in the city, determine the causes of the shark attack, and comb the beach.
Medical authorities reported that the health condition of the victim stabilized after immediate aid was provided, adding that her health condition was being monitored immediately.
