A father and a mother in the shantytown of Manshiet Nasser allegedly sold their four-month-old daughter for LE85,000 with the help of a mediator.
The girl’s uncle reported them to the police.
The parents, the mediator and his sister were arrested for four days pending investigation into charges of human trafficking.
