Seven referred to criminal court over gold shop robbery, killing policeman

Attorney General of the Supreme State Security Prosecution Tamer Fergany referred seven men to criminal court over charges of killing a policeman in 6 October City and attempting to kill another while robbing a gold shop belonging to a Copt.
 
The seven defendants are Mohamed Ibrahim Fatehy, 27, Walid Mehran Abdel Rahman, 34, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, 27, Mohamed Abdel Hamid, 21, Ahmed Saad Mohamed, Ahmed Fouad, 35, and Ibrahim Sadeq.
 
According to investigations, the defendants disguised themselves in military attire and used automatic rifles and bird shot to rob the store.
 
They have also been accused of forming an extremist group to assault the security forces and harm national unity.
