Prosecutors at Alexandria Seaport have decided to hold two container ships carrying several tons of serious waste materials that are legally impermissible to enter the country.
Authorities at the seaport had been notified that two containers arrived from the United States, belonging to the owner of an import and export company, who has since been summoned for questioning.
Investigators found that the two vessels were laden with 38 tons of plastic leftovers from medical and food industries that are dangerous to human health and banned based on government decisions.
