LUANDA, Nov 24 (MENA) – Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye said Egypt–Senegal relations are a model of fruitful African cooperation, supported by historical, cultural, and political ties.
Faye made the remarks during his meeting on Monday with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on the sidelines of the 7th AU–EU Summit held in Angola’s capital Luanda.
Madbouly is representing President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the summit that is also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty.
Conveying his greetings to President Sisi, the Senegalese leader underscored the importance of upgrading bilateral relations in a way that helps meet the aspirations of both countries’ peoples and advance inter-African integration.
Madbouly likewise conveyed President Sisi’s greetings to the Senegalese president, commending the positive momentum in bilateral ties and praising Senegal as Egypt’s strategic partner in West Africa. (MENA)
