Security stepped up around Tahrir Square

Security forces have stepped up their presence in Tahrir Square as demonstrations organized by the Muslim Brotherhood set out around Cairo.

Forces have reportedly secured the Egyptian Museum at the entrance to Tahrir with four military vehicles, one police armoured vehicle and Central Security Forces.

Troops also deployed on Qasr el-Nil bridge and along downtown streets including Mohamed Mahmoud, Bab el-Louq, Qasr el-Nil and Talaat Harb.

Tahrir Square is reportedly still seeing a steady flow of traffic.
