Qaliyubiya police are trying to thwart possible sectarian strife in the city of Khanka on Wednesday, after a Christian family kidnapped their daughter who converted to Islam five years ago, married a young Muslim man and gave birth to a son.
They took the 22-year-old from her home and headed to the mountains.
The security director ordered intensive surveillance of the area in order to prevent clashes between the two families.
