SCZone head leaves for India

Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal Eddin left on Sunday  leading a delegation for the Indian capital New Delhi to promote for investment opportunities in al-Sokhna area and probe ways of cooperation with major companies to carry out various Indian projects in ports and industrial zones.

The move comes in accordance with presidential directives to lure more foreign investments, the Zone said in a statement.
SCZone added that the measure is also part of its painstaking efforts to strengthen targeted industries in its action strategy 2020/25, said the statement.
The visit is the third promotional leg for the Economic Zone in the Asian continent to attract companies working in several sectors including energy, infrastructure, petrochemicals and green fuel, added the statement.
It noted the visit is as well aiming to review means of cooperation with some harbors to boost joint action in logistics.
Gamal Eddin pointed out that these foreign visits are part of a promotional plan in the Zone this year with the objective of presenting all investment chances in it.
