Mohamed Salah, Egypt’s team captain and Liverpool star, was keen to visit the camp of the Olympic team to show players support before Egypt’s upcoming match against Zambia.
This will be in the first leg of the third round of the qualifiers for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which is the tournament that qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Salah stressed the importance of the Olympic stage in the life of a football player.
He said that the Olympic team was the reason he made progression early on internationally.
