Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie on Friday 29/03/2024 underscored the great importance of the Suez Canal Museum in preserving and documenting the history of the international waterway, as well as in recording defining moments, important events, and the challenges it has witnessed throughout its history.
The museum will remain a memory for the canal and a witness to what it has gone through, Rabie added.
The official made the remarks as he inspected the museum to follow up on the progress of work and get acquainted with reactions and impressions of the museum visitors during its soft opening phase.
He also greeted the authority staffers on the anniversary of re-floating Panama-flagged cargo ship EVER GIVEN after it ran aground in the waterway, noting that this crisis has proven to the international navigation community the Suez Canal Authority’s readiness to deal with emergency situations.
