Business tycoon Naguib Sawiris cast doubt on the new Suez Canal project being undertaken by the new government.
“I don’t want anyone to be angry, but I really doubt there were studies for the Suez Canal project,” Sawiris told media host Amr Adib on the phone during his program.
“For me to participate in the project, I need to see feasibility studies that guarantee profits and create job opportunities,” he added.
The new government has touted the new canal as creating thousands of jobs and boosting Egypt's income.
