Saudi Interior Ministry announces execution of Egyptian in Riyadh

The Saudi Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday the execution of an Egyptian citizen who murdered another Egyptian in the capital, Riyadh.

The Saudi Interior Ministry explained in a statement: “Nasser Ali Mohamed Ahmad – an Egyptian national – killed Bakr Eid Abdul-Sami Hussein – an Egyptian national – by stabbing him several times with a sharp object, which led to his death, due to a dispute between them.”

The security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned perpetrator, and the investigations resulted in charging him with the crime.

After referring him to the competent court, a ruling was issued against him proving the charges and the court ordered his execution.

The ruling became final after it was appealed and then upheld by the Supreme Court.

A royal order was issued to enforce what was decided by Sharia law, and the death sentence was carried out in retaliation against the perpetrator on Wednesday November 6 in Riyadh.

The Interior Ministry added that it is announcing this to confirm to everyone the Saudi government’s dedication to establish security and implement Islamic justice against anyone who harms the innocent and breaks the law.
