The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of Israel’s statements regarding the Philadelphi Corridor, and announced its solidarity with Egypt.
This came in a statement by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
The statement added: “The Kingdom condemns the futile attempts to justify the continued Israeli violations of international laws and norms, affirming its solidarity and support for the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt in the face of these Israeli allegations.”
Netanyahu claimed that the Philadelphi Corridor, a demilitarized area on the border between Gaza and Egypt, is a “lifeline” for Hamas.
“We have to stay on the Philadelphi Corridor, it is essential for Israel’s security,” he said.
The State of Qatar also expressed its full solidarity with Egypt and its rejection of the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister, through which he tried to drag Egypt’s name in order to distract Israeli public opinion and obstructing joint mediation efforts aimed at a ceasefire in Gaza Strip and exchange of hostages and detainees.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in a Tuesday statement that the Israeli occupation’s approach, which is based on trying to falsify facts and mislead world public opinion by repeating lies and falsehoods, will ultimately lead to the demise of peace efforts and expand the violence in the region.
Qatar further stressed the necessity of enhancing regional and international efforts to compel Israel to end its brutal aggression on Gaza immediately, in preparation for addressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
